By submitting your photo before classes start, you'll be able to skip the line and pick up your ID faster. You'll have everything you need to get the semester kicked-off right.

IMPORTANT: Students are still able to submit their ID Photo Online and pick-up after the term starts on September 3.

Acceptable Photo

Please review the criteria outlined below before taking your picture.

Recent color photo
Plain, white background
Bright, even lighting
Centered, frontal view of full face – no profile
Cropped from just above the top of the head to the collarbone
Eyes open and visible (wear prescription glasses if you normally do so)

Unacceptable Photo

To ensure your ��Ҵ�ý University ID photo meets our standards, please avoid submitting photos with any of the following issues:

Hats, sunglasses or other items that obscure your face
Glare on glasses, shadow
Other visible people or objects in the photo
Inappropriate expressions or gestures
Professional photos, senior portraits or school photos
Photos of photos

How to Submit Your Photo

You may submit your photo with the app or your web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari) and the respective instructions are outlined below.

Mobile App

Download the Transact eAccounts App:
Follow steps for setting up by selecting ��Ҵ�ý University as your institution.
Log into eAccounts (use your ��Ҵ�ý University email address and password that you use to access ��Ҵ�ý Connect)
Click on the gear in the upper right to go to settings.
Click on Submit ID Photo.
Click on Get Started (appears greyed out but is still clickable).
Accept the terms and conditions.
Select to upload your photo by clicking the upload box and selecting to either upload or take a photo

Web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari)

Click on the “Upload Your Photo” link below.
Log in with the same ��Ҵ�ý University email address and password that you use to access ��Ҵ�ý Connect.
Access your profile by clicking on the Profile menu option on top of the page.
To access the service to submit a new photo, click on the link that says Click to submit a new photo.
Take a photo using your device or upload an existing photo (must be .jpeg, .png., or .gif file)
Crop or rotate image to meet requirements.
Preview and submit photo.

Note

You must provide a government-issued ID to verify your identity when receiving your ��Ҵ�ý ID card. Acceptable forms of identification include the following, and they must not be expired:

Passport
U.S. Drivers’s License
U.S. Non-Driver Photo ID
U.S. Learners Permit
U.S. Military ID

Pick Up Your ID on Move-In Day

The big day is almost here! Soon ��Ҵ�ý will be your home-away-from home. Move-in Day is a milestone moment, and we’re excited to welcome you.

Move-In Day is the best time to receive your new ��Ҵ�ý ID. You’re going to need it to access many things in and around campus, and it will be ready and waiting for you as part of your welcome package. See you on August 31!

Am I eligible to upload my photo?

You are eligible to upload your photo online if you are an active student and currently registered for classes.

How do I change my photo?

Once you have an approved photo in the system, you cannot submit a new photo.
Requesting a new ��Ҵ�ý University ID solely for a photo update will incur a replacement card fee.

How do I know if my photo is approved?

All communications regarding the status of your photo will be sent to your official ��Ҵ�ý (@mercy.edu) email account. If your photo is not accepted, you will receive an email that includes the photo requirements.
Most photos are reviewed by the system within a few minutes. If there is an issue with your photo that requires further review, it may take one business day for your photo to be reviewed.

Where do I pick up my ID card?

As part of submitting your photo online, you should have selected the campus where you would like to pickup your id card. ID cards can be picked-up at the location you selected once term begins on September 3.

If you selected the Westchester Campus, please pick up your ID card in Main Hall, Room 109 from 9AM-5PM (ID cards can be picked up at the Hudson Hall Security Desk at all other times).
If you selected the Bronx campus, please pick up your ID card at the Atrium/Lobby Security Desk.
If you selected the Manhattan campus, please pick up your ID card at the 3rd-floor Security Desk.

Residential students will get their ��Ҵ�ý ID at move-in if they are cleared for housing.

How do I pick up my ��Ҵ�ý ID as a residential student?

Residential students will get their ��Ҵ�ý ID at move-in if they are cleared for housing.

How long after an ID photo is submitted will the ID be printed and ready for pick up?

Your ID will be printed and ready for pickup two business days after your submitted photo is approved.
Please note that IDs uploaded on the weekend will be available on the following Wednesday.

What should I do if my ��Ҵ�ý University ID Card has been lost or stolen?

As soon as you realize that your card has been lost or stolen, please email Campus Safety at safety@mercy.edu to have the card deactivated.
A non-refundable replacement fee of $10 is charged to obtain a new card.
To make your payment, please visit the Office of Student Financial Services at your campus. After making the payment, bring your receipt to one of the Campus Safety ID Stations listed below to obtain your replacement ID.

1. Westchester Campus: ��Ҵ�ý Hall
2. Bronx Campus: 1st Floor, Room 1236
3. Manhattan Campus: Central Station on the 3rd Floor
Proceed to one of the Campus Safety ID Stations Monday through Friday between 9:30 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., where a new ID card will be printed for you:
1. Westchester Campus: Main Hall, Room 233
2. Bronx Campus: 1st Floor, Room 1175
3. Manhattan Campus: 3rd-floor Security Desk
All replacement cards will be issued using the existing photo on file.

What should I do if I find a lost ��Ҵ�ý University ID?

If you found a ��Ҵ�ý University ID, please turn it in at the following locations depending on your campus:
1. Westchester Campus: Safety Office in Main Hall, Room 234
2. Bronx Campus: Atrium/Lobby Security Desk.
3. Manhattan Campus: 3rd-floor Security Desk.

Can I get a new ID if I have had a legal name change?

Yes, your ��Ҵ�ý University ID card can be reissued at no charge due to a legal name change, provided that you return your most recently issued ID card for exchange. Please ensure that the name change is processed through the Registrar’s Office and updated in the system before requesting an updated ID card. All replacement cards will be issued using the existing photo on file.

Can I have my ��Ҵ�ý University ID card mailed to me?

No, ID cards cannot be mailed. You are required to pick up your ID card in person.
